A Mystery

Well, this is strange.

More than ten years ago, I lost my domain to a Japanese company and my old site went down. I tried to get it back for a while and then gave up. Now it has reappeared! How is that possible? It seems someone must have bought the domain for the purpose of resurrecting the site. But who would do that?

I've put a link up  (see: Archived Site). It has writings from those years. I'm not sure how many of the links work. I haven't investigated it fully. I'm too shocked!  Who would do this?

How strange it is to read of friends who are gone now. Dog, cats. Dead.

The posts are from 2008 - 2014. So much detail. I'm afraid to read them. It's too much.

Well, it's the day after. I'm back to add a few thoughts to this brief post. I put it up on FB yesterday to see if maybe whoever resurrected the archived site might be flushed out, but although there was a lot of appreciation for the site, no one admitted to being the one to do it. It's a gift really (as was pointed out to me). And so flattering that someone would bother. The site has some blog entries but doesn't go back as far as it seems to. Many of the posts connect to dead links and that's probably for the best. I went all the way back to before my father's death to find evidence of the days on School Street, but there was nothing. It was so long ago, though it continues to be meaningful to me. One of my new songs has a verse about it:

How to make time fly?/

Love like a fever/

Wrapped in my baby's arms/

All the bright days on School Street

I've got four new songs. Four! All written in the past month or two. My goal is to write ten by March at which point I'll make a new record. That's the plan anyway.
